To check your insurance coverage, call the number on the back of your health insurance card & ask about the details of your nutrition benefits. I  accept the following plans:

BCBS/Anthem PPO
Aetna PPO
United Healthcare/UMR PPO

I’m in-network with these plans and they are the only plans I accept as of now. Use the Insurance Coverage Checklist below to guide your conversation with the insurance representative. Insurance Coverage Checklist

Consulting is generally covered but functional cash labs that I order for you are self pay. You can use HSA/FSA cards or a credit card to pay for labwork. I specialize in functional medicine aligned care and "testing and not guessing" is essential for a functional medicine aligned approach. 

It is rare to find an insurance accepting functional medicine aligned practitioner. Whether a MD or RD, most functional labs will be cash pay as insurance companies generally only pay for disease screening and management, not health optimization.
